Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Do you realize how much better off this country would be without CA at this point in time. The truth is with low cost LED technology we are no longer need CA for much of agricultural needs. In fact we would be far better off without CA produce. It can be grown in geographically disbursed environmentally friendly, controlled under roof locations now. My point is these clowns say they want to secede – let them.
