It’s not that people hate the state of Illinois. It’s the way the state is run by long time politicians. It is not being able to vote most of these out because many run unopposed/redistricted to their advantage/sham candidates to steal votes/never ending corruption plus a financial abyss. Even if you can bypass these obstacles we can not vote for the speaker of the house on a statewide ballot and any bill to be voted for by the legislators must pass the speakers standards.
