She and her staff don’t have a clue what they are talking about– and more importantly– don’t have a clue as to how to negotiate with the Bears. Her Springfield operation is not ready for prime time. They have no one who understands pro sports economics. Do you really want a dome that will compete with the other indoor facilities in the metro area that do indoor events– like the UC, new Wintrust facility, Rosemont, UIC? Lori was all indignant when the Bears sprung the news about going to Arlington Heights, but it seems she’s changed her tune. The Bears are almost as poorly run as the City of Chicago. Still, I hope they abandon Chiraq, and that sorry excuse of a stadium sits empty. Lori is the worst big city mayor in the country, and that’s not easy. Most of them suck.
Let the Bears build a dome in the suburbs on their own dime.
