A Glimmer of Hope in Illinois – Wall Street Journal

Voters showed their support for school choice, and the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) had a bad night.

The real glimmer would be Guv Pigchop falling over and dying of a cardiac event during his morning walk!!

The only “hope” I can see for Illinois is a Federal Bailout. However if history is any guide the truckload of cash sent as a bailout would be used on assorted little goody vote buying programs and the bare minimum being placed where it is needed. Then in a few years it would be back to normal meaning Illinois would need another bailout. Nothing changes…its Illinois.

At the state level, I think we know by now that Pritzger’s hand can’t nor will be forced. He truly is one the Kings that Soros gave the bored, blue haired grannies bingo money to bitch about on every street corner and points in between. He comes to heel when it gets down to Federal funding, though- at least until a Obama/ Biden SJW judge slaps the automatic injunction or opposition motion on him in the same robotic fashion that they have done forever.

Soros didn’t make the Illinois political system. Greed and the buddy system did.

The point was that Soros pays the protesters that doggedly persued Trump, Musk etc. but are as quiet as church mince re AOC, Crackpot Sanders, and other pols that have managed to amass millions of dollars on a 125K/ year salary.

Pritzker has revealed little deference to Illinois taxpayers during his tenure, so I don’t harbor hope he’ll permit this crack in the CTU’s school monopoly to widen.
