Trump could play this right by offering to sell the building to the City. That way he would be a winner like the so many others that have decided to leave the State and would in effect be paid to do so. The City would no doubt over pay citing that they are paying for some sort of nebulous value of social qualities by getting rid of Trumps name and perhaps name it after Obama, BLM or the Chicago Democrat’s club. A win win situation for all…except the taxpayer but as we know, taxpayers are unimportant beyond their milkability in… Read more »

Never thought about it, but A really good point, the CIty and State have limitless funds when addressing the re-education of its “subjects”, the reallocation of wealth and addressing the BLM demands and wokeness.

I wish NBC had gone a step further and reported who is sponsoring the ordinance Villegas intends to bring before the council.

I don’t think the sign looks bad. But, concerns about what can be attached to a building should be addressed under building codes.

And let’s burn all the books too. Not more history to be taught in America and certainly not in Chicago.

Graffiti is really out of hand. Can’t keep it off all the new bridges and barriers along 94/Interchange. With Ruble Encampments at 18th and at Roosevelt. Its taking on that third world hellhole look. Almost complete..ha!

How about changing the name of the sign over the building called “City Hall” to “Silly Hall”. That would be more appropriate.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
