The prices spiked by an average of 46 cents per gallon in the last week, petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan said. Chicago has recorded new all-time high gas prices every day since May 27.

We just drove to Panama City FL, It took a little over two tanks of gas to get here, 4.45 and 4.49 a gallon were the prices all through the south. In an EV it would literally be impossible to have such a nice road trip.

Absurdly high gasoline prices aren’t a problem to Biden and the Democrats. They are the goal. Biden aims to be the most “Progressive” President in History and to out-progressive Obama. Period. Your pain at the gas pump is a small price to pay for History. I fully expect to see gas lines by September as a result of Democrat imposed price controls and over $10/gallon gasoline prices by year end. The Democrats have already said, “The Europeans are used to similar gasoline prices”. They don’t give a fig.Go pound sand. So bend over, get an electric car youze chumbolone and… Read more »

As long as we have dirty voter rolls nation wide and a disinterested populace in ensuring election integrity, they will continue to work the angles to steal where necessary to retain power.

When you don’t fear recourse at the ballot box, this is what you get.

FFS, many Republicans still don’t believe 2020 was stolen.

Folks need to understand that Biden is a tool for a wrecking operation – Obama is behind the insanity.

Things appear to be moving to a new phase – Even the neighborhood ‘Karens’, who don’t go to church and refuse to fly the flag (even on Memorial Day), are complaining about the cost to fill up their 7,000 lb behemoth SUV’s.

The Dems walk around with their mouths agape blaming everyone but themselves. Look in the mirror morons, this is all on you. Let’s just hope we have another Reagan to pull us out of this nightmare. Biden and Carter are the two worst presidents in modern times. Biden was always a lying scumbag, dumber than a box of rocks. Throw in a little dementia and he’s that much worse. Vote straight red before Joe and company destroy the country.

Dementia Joe is arguably far, far worse. Jimmy Carter’s major accomplishment (easily overlooked by his massive failures) was deregulation. Dementia Joe has all of the worst of Jimmy Carter’s terrible policies, and tossed massive regulation into the witches brew, and disregarded all of the lessons learned from our proxy war against Russia in Afghanistan, and is doing the same thing all over again in Ukraine, sending billions in aid and weapons to our ‘allies’ without any regard for the future. You have to back into the 1800’s to find any presidents as bad as Carter, mostly before the civil war.… Read more »

They know who’s to blame. They just never accept the blame. Ever. For anything.

I don’t have any feelings of sorrow for the people of Chicago or the 6 county Chicagoland metro area. They voted for the incompetent administrations in Springfield and Washington DC. Heck, before the election Joe was bragging about how his administration was going to go after the energy and pipeline companies. After Joe’s pre-election posturing, anyone could easily see this coming. And yet Chicagoland voted as reliably blue as it gets. Elections have consequences. Gooder and harder.

$5.99 a gallon at the gas station near me. No doubt this will affect leisurely driving and discretionary spending. I don’t even want to drive around town with these kind of gas prices.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
