The Southern Illinois counties of Jefferson, Washington, Hamilton, Saline, Gallatin, Union, Johnson, Hardin, Pulaski, Massac, Alexander, and the city of Metropolis, are among others in the state that have voted to take legal action. They are among thousands of state and local governments nationwide that have filed similar lawsuits.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
