Activists Want Billions In Reparations From Chase Bank For Chicago’s Black Neighborhoods – WBEZ (Chicago)

Green cited WBEZ and City Bureau findings that Chase had given out $7.5 billion in home purchase lending between 2012 and 2018 — but just 1.9% of that money went to Chicago’s black neighborhoods. Majority-white areas of the city got 79.57%.

Eddie Johnson gave idiot Jamal Green credibility when johnson let green him go after green tried to take a cops gun away in a “protest”. Then Lori gave con artist, uneducated, green more credibility by publicly thanking him after the election. Green and his BLM domestic terrorist extortionists will continue their nonsense until they are stopped. And they must be stopped hard.

% of Chicago population vs % of Chase loans (in dollars):

African American: 30% vs 2%
Latino: 29% vs 5%
Asian: 6.4% vs 0.08%

It would seem as though Asians have been treated most unfairly.

I truly hope Chase will argue this to the FACTS, NOT opinions. Enough euphemisms and be blatantly honest – it’s about bad investments that Chase did not create and actually has tried to help. Facts is facts!

They won’t. Like most corporations these days they will make a “business” decision and bow to the mob.

We’ll see what happens in November. My gut feeling is that every like minded member of the ‘vote blue’ crowd showed up and outed themselves in the protests. It seems like this was the biggest and baddest protest of them all, and if you were a Democrat who didn’t show up, you aren’t part of the ‘in crowd’. This was the biggest protest ever, even people I know who are left leaning but apolitical showed up.   The crowds were millions of people but not enough to beat Trump in the fall. The silent majority will sit back and vote… Read more »

Chase doesn’t make loans to credit impaired individuals. It has nothing to do with race. My white parents with their 600 credit scores couldn’t borrow from chase either.

Bad credit ratings are all part of the racist systemic disinvestment deal–come on, everyone knows that? Wasnt that made obvious back in 2008? Get with the program!!

Credit scores are racist. Even though the FICO algorithm uses no race or other race identifying information, minorities still have disproportionately low credit scores compared to whites. Therefore, CREDIT SCORE ARE RACIST!   They’ve actually made this argument, and kinda succeeded, because FICO doesn’t use mom & pa rent payment history, nor does it use most utilities (after utilities stopped because after a disproportionate # of minorities paid their utility bills late, the utilities reporting of late payments hurt the credit scores of minorities), so they’ve tried to incorporate ‘non-traditional’ payment information into the FICO scores. That’s like someone saying… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
