AG: Illinois joins coalition of states calling for ban on price gouging – WMAY (Springfield)

While price gouging is unlawful in Illinois and more than 40 other states, there is no federal law specifically banning businesses from raising prices on essential goods to increase their profits during an emergency. In their letter to Congressional leaders, Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul and the coalition argue that a national ban on price gouging would give the federal government the power to crack down on the practice when it cannot be stopped by a single state.

This is like a ban on late library books. Sounds good, accomplishes nothing. Typical Kwame work of his life.

Good idea. Let’s start with the schools, municipalities, forest preserves and counties gouging us on property taxes. Put action where your mouth is, Kwame.

This is national lawfare. Democrats have transformed blue state AG offices into an extension of their Lawfare apparatus to push fake Democrat talking points. You think Kwame gives two craps about what happens to you, Illinois resident? LOL You’re a mere pleb in the thousand year american empire.

“Raoul was joined in sending that letter by the attorneys general of California, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Vermont.”

And if Trump gets elected he’ll use lawfare to go after everyone who disagrees with him. He’s already started.
