Not a big fan of many of ives hard right views and realize states and cc attorneys have limited powers, but ives is the only one in gov or press askimg where the heck are kwaume, kimmie, little lisa & alverez as the feds are cracken down on Illinois corruption left and righ. Excellent questions. Illinois has been making news lately for all the wrong reasons, and I’d wager we’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg.

The AG’s office is too prestigious to be bogged down in petty corruption among the pol class. He’s got other things on his plate, other *more important* more prestigious things, things that don’t get his hands dirty, like: ATTORNEY GENERAL RAOUL JOINS LAWSUIT CHALLENGING PRESIDENT TRUMP’S DECLARATION OF NATIONAL EMERGENCY AT THE SOUTHERN BORDER http://www.illinoisattorneygeneral.gov/pressroom/2019_02/20190218.html The state’s attorneys office is too busy freeing felons because they can’t meet cash bail. Also Ives’ ‘hard right’ views were perfectly acceptable just a few short years ago and are held by at least 48% of republican leaning primary voters, possibly more. I voted for Rauner even though I share Ives’ views more. These views are now considered ‘hard right’ only because the ‘hard left’ progressives have entirely rejected the political belief system that existed a few short years ago. They are doing this obviously because Orange Man Bad and because with a field so large, they’re all chasing what they believe are the loudest voices on twitter for primary votes. A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board.
