You have to look at the irony. We have parks with encampments of homeless citizens that the city takes down. Then you have organizations that give free housing to illegals. Whatever happened to Charity begins at home.
The linked article doesn’t say that Chicago is funding RefugeeOne.
The IRS Form 990 RefugeeOne filed for the fiscal year ending June 2025 shows about $14M in income of which $9.9 M is listed as “government grants”; an additional $4.3M is from other, non-governmental grants (which means another NGO could be getting government grants and passing them on to RefugeeOne). They report spending $6.1M for refugee resettlement services. NGO funding sources are purposefully difficult to source.
