At least seven council members have asked for a remote option for this week's budget hearings, particularly since Ald. Jeanette Taylor tested positive for coronavirus. Budget committee chair Ald. Pat Dowell has insisted on in-person sessions. “As leaders of the city, we cannot require police, fire, teachers, health care workers and other city departments and their employees to work in person, while we play by a different set of rules and work remote."
When are people going to wake up to the fact that you have no representation. When are you going to stop complying? How much longer are you going to allow them to make a fool out of you?

A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
