The free, public exhibit in the city-run building features bloodied caricatures of Uncle Sam and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described on a sign as “protest puppets.” Writing on the wooden bases holding up the figures criticizes U.S. financial support for Israel’s war efforts in Gaza and labels the characters as “children killers” and “murderers.” Already removed from the exhibit was the display’s title, “US-Israel War Machine,” and a death count, Ald. Debra Silverstein said.
Guess which group gave IL its unconstitutional hate crime laws! I was required to read 1984 as well as well as Animal Farm back the early 60’s while in CPS. Today in Zerohedge there is an report that Knesset passed a thoughtcrime law banning all criticism of the official narative of the Oct 7th. I am happy that Trump signed a law banning free speech expression on day one!

Hate speech should never be protected. This display is anti Semitism. Not surprising in a Democratic city

Attempting to frame this as a free speech issue is ridiculous. Any person or group whose work was not chosen for display could make the same argument. The display should be taken down immediately, and whoever approved it should lose their job.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
