Aldermen Rebuff Mayor’s Effort To Block Creation of Reparations Commission – WTTW

The City Council’s Committee on Health and Human Relations voted unanimously on Friday afternoon to approve a non-binding resolution to create the Chicago Citizens of African Descent Reparations Commission. The full City Council is scheduled to consider the proposal from Ald. Roderick Sawyer (6th Ward) on June 17.

All Caucasian public sector retirees should be required to contribute 30% of their racially-biased pensions towards a reparations fund as they used their privilege to take a job opportunity away from a minority. Also, the trade unions have never been all that welcoming of minorities. 25% of all dues collections should go into a fund specifically meant for minority training program. Also, all union political contributions should have a $1 for $1 match into a reparations fund as well.

Unless they don’t care.

Hilarious!!, also, related-i believe the major pension funds already have requirements for minority investment firms, thats the john rogers/melanie hobson-aierial investments sthick. Only its chumbalone tax payer (me) paying for minority pension investment requirement not members. They just get to feel morally superior..but sure aierial investments will be cleaning up off tax payers when the reperations guilt legislation goes thru

Even Lori knows the idea of reparations is toxic. 2/3rds of the population giving handouts to the other 1/3rd that just burned down the city? The looting and rioting is all the social justice you’ll get for another generation.

Nobody alive today was ever a slave. Nobody alive today was ever a slave owner.

This is just a bunch of non-sense that the black community uses to make the white community feel guilty. And an admission that the black community does not have the motivation and drive to succeed (as everyone else does), without a handout from the government.

And let Lori still found a way in her speech last week to slander my Polish off the boat ancestors during the red summer of 1919. What an evil woman.

A Polish store owner was murdered by a Black in that 1919 riot. ☹️?

More insanity. How many white people still live in Chicago? Didn’t you get the memo that you aren’t wanted? White people that still choose to live (or work) in this city deserve everything that’s coming.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
