All Illinois Democratic reps in U.S. House vote against ban on biological men competing in women’s sports despite overwhelming public support for a ban – Wirepoints Quickpoint

By overwhelming margins, Americans don’t want biological men competing in women’s sports. Surveys consistently show at least 60% opposed and just 30% in support at best, even surveys by left-leaning sources like NPR and The Washington Post.

But on Thursday, every Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives voted against a bill to ban transgender females from women’s school sports teams. That includes all 14 Democratic representatives from Illinois. All Republican representatives voted for the ban. The bill is not expected to pass in the Democratically controlled Senate.

This one completely perplexes me. Growth in women’s sports is among the major steps to equality achieved in my lifetime, particularly Title IX, which in 1972 banned discrimination on the basis of sex in any educational program or activity that receives federal funding. It’s all being thrown away. Most of us are all for treating trans people with dignity and respect, but allowing those with X and Y chromosomes to compete against those with two X chromosomes unquestionably will kill women’s sports. I just don’t get why Democrats or anybody else would oppose the ban.

New Zealand’s Strongest Man to Compete in Women’s Powerlifting Contest to Protest Allowing Transgender Biological Men to Compete.

Recently the Canadian Women’s Weightlifting Championships were held. The womens record bench press was 270lbs set by a biological male identifying as a female. At the latest event a record holding male lifter entered the event as a woman because there were no prerequisites. He said he was a woman and wanted to compete. The rules allowed it. So we have this mountain of a man with a large bushy beard competing. His first and only lift was 370lbs beating the trans man record by 100lbs. The man stood up from the bench, one lift only, waved at the crowd… Read more »

The only reason teachers get a Masters degree is because they will get a pay raise. They go for a Doctorate for the same reason and the chance to get an administrative job or superintendent job for a bigger payraise. The local school district had a Doctor who was the gym teacher, another a Doctor of Education who taught drivers ed. Both of them were the highest paid in the district just under the district superintendent.

It’s similar to a boyfriend girlfriend situation. Politicians only need you for as long as it takes them to get elected. Then they dump you and go rogue. I am seriously beginning to think that voting is a waste of my time. The lies are off the charts. The politician sitting next to them from another state or county does not vote for them, I do as a member of their district. If I can’t count on them to vote for me they can’t count on me to vote for them. After this fiasco believe me I can’t count on… Read more »

Lol! I doubt it. Just more lipstick on a pig. Mark, Illinois does not know the difference between positive numbers and negative numbers. And, those who do will try to convince you that negative numbers identify as positive. And if you believe otherwise, you are a maga republican antivaxer who believes in the constitution and bill of rights.

Where are the feminists?

Have we all forgotten about the sacrifices of our grandmothers and great grandmothers who fought for the vote? For equal pay? For equal opportunity for women and girls? For Title IX?

Stand up ladies and those who love women, liberal and right, and reclaim those hard-fought freedoms; they are slipping away … rapidly.

Our daughters and granddaughters will judge our actions – let’s make them proud!

Mark why does this perplex you? Biden was elected as the great conciliator but has done everything but since. Clearly his marching orders are to push as hard as possible with the “progressive” agenda which includes gender fluidity even for minors. They teach these things. But promiscuous communities have built their identities around the relentless pursuit of self-pleasure, and things like pregnancy, ghey bowel syndrome, herps, HIV, hpv causes oral/rectal/vaginal cancer, are merely things one has to just deal with as a side effect of promiscuity and degeneracy. Civilizations have known these things for thousands of years which is why every civilization has frowned on degeneracy, and believe degeneracy is morally wrong because of the bad outcomes associated with those behaviors. But our modern left believes that science has overcome these moral objections based upon bad outcomes, so it’s all OK… Read more »

One of my close friends… pregnant, married, mother of one other child. Fetus was diagnosed at 12 weeks with a *missing piece of the brain rendering the child incapacitated for life. I reiterate Missing Piece of the Brain. the child would be a vegetable with a short lifespan, requiring 24/7 care surely bankrupting the family and other horrible illnesses. In this new world, she would be forced to carry that child to term. That’s the danger of this new world. It is not allll these women not “keeping their legs closed” …. consider the impacts of this mentality of banning.

Based on what you describe, a vegetable-state baby missing part of its brain, with a short life span, requiring life saving medical care outside of the womb… most doctors would sign off on the abortion for your described medical condition.

Again, you’re resorting to lies and misinformation to scare people. Pathetic.

“The bill defines “fatal fetal abnormality” as a terminal condition that, in reasonable medical judgement, regardless of the provision of life-saving medical treatment, is incompatible with life outside the womb and will result in death upon birth or imminently thereafter.”

It’s possible, but, blue states’ abortion-up-until-moment-of-birth is as equally as unpopular as Republican’s restrictions on abortion. Polls show most Americans favor stricter rules on abortion than laxer, Moloch worshiper rules on abortion. Republicans won the popular vote in 2022 by 3,000,00 votes when abortion was on-the-ballot. Back crazy blue California out of the national results so you have 49 states only (b/c crazy skews otherwise consistent national results) and Republicans won by 5,000,000 nationally because 6 million CA residents voted blue. Transgenderism is a mental disorder. If you don’t think so, this is directly from the Mayo Clinic website: “A diagnosis for gender dysphoria (a feeling of distress that can happen when a person’s gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth) is included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (my highlight) (DSM-5), a manual published by the American Psychiatric Association.” Why isn’t the medical/psychiatric community standing up and telling the truth loudly? What happened to “Do no harm?” People suffering from these disorders need care, not affirmation that their disorders are normal. Our medical professionals are… Read more »

Standing up to this evil isn’t hard, it just takes a bit of courage to confront and dismiss the false, selective outrage. The mob always moves on to something or someone else. In public, liberal moms may be reluctant to speak up. In the voting booth however, it’s a different story.

When Dem politicians voted, they voted 100% for the trans because they were on the record, yet I’m confident several of them secretly hated the idea of the girls/women in their lives having to compete with boys/men. Remember, the left is less tolerant than the right of opposing opinions.

The example you give isn’t even the worse of it. Some sports may result with biological females in actual physical danger. When boys compete with girls, sometimes the boys can sense that the competition is unfair and will hold back, however if a boy somehow views himself as one of the girls, he will see no reason to hold back in the competition.

I thought to myself this person is demonic. Claiming to be a God follower, but really having her own gods. Many people we thought had our conviction do not. We need to be so careful who we lift to these elected positions. Keep the faith
