Since April 7, when Andrew Boutros assumed top prosecutor job, a spokesperson says federal prosecutors in Chicago have filed 120 cases with 167 defendants, as of July 16. That's a 30 percent increase over the same period last year, April 7 through July 15, 2024, where prosecutors in the office filed 92 cases with 117 defendants.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Kudos to President Trump, and blessings for Mr. Boutros! Chicago and northern IL have no place to go but up!
