It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
I want a Mother Jones statue because I want to see it vandalized while the socialists beg for video surveillance and stronger law enforcement.

I didn’t know who Mother Jones is. I just found out she was a teacher and union organizer. This makes perfect sense. Now when kids ask who is this their socialist parent can tell them who she was. Then the kids will think unions and teachers should be looked up to because there’s a statue in their honor. They know exactly what they are doing.
The State has a Mother Jones monument already in Mt Olive Illinois where she is buried. Those that travel downstate on
I 55 can access it along with a stretch of old US 66 at exit 44.
