Are we ready to leave masks behind? ‘It’s going to be weird’ – Chicago Tribune*

As the legal requirements ease, businesses and individuals are left to grapple with their level of comfort for a transition to maskless public spaces. “It’s going to be weird or uncomfortable for people to get rid of something they’ve been wearing for the last two years,” said Dr. Sheehan Fisher, a psychologist at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

No, what is weird is feeling a need to wear something on your face that is not natural.

Weird? Really?
How nice not to breathe in bacteria and have more health issues as a result of breathing thru something that never was a deterrent.

What’s weird is a Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine psychologist saying, “It’s going to be weird or uncomfortable for people to get rid of something they’ve been wearing for the last two years.”

That belongs in the Onion not the Chicago Tribune.

Elation is a better word.

Like the elementary kids cheering when the teacher said no more masks.

No issues here – I stopped wearing a mask nearly a month ago. I’ve only been challenged in one store. To avoid a scene, I donned the mask I was carrying in my pocket.

My motivation was not to make a scene, it was to breathe easier and avoid eyeglass fog.
