As Chicago ends deadliest year in quarter of a century, top cop promises more detectives and more ‘positive interactions’ in neighborhoods – Chicago Sun-Times*

There have been nearly 820 homicides in Chicago this year, according to data from the Cook County medical examiner’s office. That’s the most since 828 homicides were recorded in all of 1995. The total for 1994 was 931. As of Tuesday, at least 4,390 people had been shot in Chicago, an increase of 8% from last year and 68% more than in 2019.

I’ve got an idea, have the county hire more morgue attendants so the bodies can pushed thru the ME’s office faster. No lines, no waiting, no problem.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, could have guessed that BLM’s false anti-police narrative, adopted by a progressive prosecutor, in an era where everyone is encouraged wear masks even outdoors, would lead to an exponential increase in murder and violent crime? How could this happen? The anti-police narrative was supposed to make things safer for the oppressed but only lead to increased murder rates in the community….
