As Chicago Nears 700 Murders for 3rd Straight Year, Mayor’s Race Focuses on Public Safety -WTTW (Chicago)

Mayor Lori Lightfoot said she is “happy” that homicides are down 15% as compared with 2021. However, 2021 was the most violent year in Chicago since the mid-1990s, with more than 800 people killed.

If you do not count the murders and the shootings the Shitty of Chicago is fairly safe.

Ilinois does not have a violent crime problem, Chicago does. Illinois does not have a gun problem, Chicago does. A states attorney, a judiciary, a chief judge who all love the criminal and hate victims and law abiding citizens. In 2021 there were 1151 murders reported in Illinois over 800 were in Chicago.
