It’s pretty clear now that COVID-19 is just a severe outbreak of the flu. Certainly worse than a cold, but not a pandemic. It affects mainly the elderly, medically compromised and those with bad lung function. Most people will survive. The real concern with this virus is that it is extremely contagious and transmittable. It’s certainly more contagious than the office cold that everyone catches at least once. I’ve been giving this idea some thought. What if Covid-19 virus somehow merges with Zika virus. If this continues into spring and maybe summer an infected person with Covid-19 gets bit by a mosquito with Zika and then transmitted to someone else. I would call this CovidZ-20. This could be like the Andromeda Strain or Outbreak. Just a thought.
