The student loan debt crisis is a crisis. No doubt about it. It’s really really bad public policy to do this, creating a subclass of heavily indebted young people who can’t form families or buy houses at a time when inflation is rampant and the highest in two generations. These kids are never going to pay it back. But it is really, really unfair that a generation of young Democrats get a ‘free’ education while the rest of us didn’t go to college and have to pay for it. I think there should be different types of relief depending on the students circumstances. Remember the student that used her student loan to finance her travels all over europe, should she get relief? Someone who has a health/medical issue and can’t work should get relief. Others should pay little now and more later. If someone is making $40k a year I wouldn’t expect them to pay a lot. Five years later they get a job that pays them $80k then they should be paying more. Didn’t Trump University get sued for providing useless degrees. Perhaps that’s the correct route Kwame. If these people can’t afford to pay back their loans then maybe they were misled by the school into getting a useless degree. And if they were the school should be sued. And if they were not misled then they should pay their debt.

Wow. It is unfortunate that many students borrowed money from predatory lenders. I could see a program where by the Government buys the debt and finances it at a fixed rate to address the high rates some are subjected to, but assuming the debt with no pay back makes no sense.

Kwame need to build a cOalition…something about the word – Coalition…so predictably stupid..

The Marxists like to fast track everything on their wish list so as to make it difficult to rescind when it turns out to be a lemon. Work permits and drivers licenses for illegals? Now! More marijuana dispensaries? Now! Your drivers license on your phone? Now! They can’t hurry their takeover of everything fast enough.
