Backlog of Illinois gun owner permits raises call to scrap ‘broken’ system – Bloomington Pantagraph

As of mid-January, there was a backlog of 175,751 firearm owners identification applications and 25,518 concealed carry permits, according to Illinois State Police records. "What are you going to do, write the state a ticket" for not meeting the deadline, one gun shop owner asked.

This is of course happening on purpose. It is a covert form of gun control for law abiding citizens. If you legally can’t get a permit or the FOID card…then you cant have a gun. It is along the same lines of over taxing ammunition and driving the costs so high making it hard for some to purchase the amount of rounds they want.
