Bailey references ‘transphobic’, ‘antisemitic’ conspiracy theory at debate – WCIA (Champaign)

During the second Governor’s debate, Darren Bailey deflected when asked about how he would change Illinois’ abortion laws. Instead of answering the question, Bailey changed the subject, referencing a conspiracy theory about current Governor J.B. Pritzker and his family foundation’s investments in healthcare.

This is a very weird column. The Tablet Magazine is antisemitic? Good grief, it’s a Jewish publication. I have no idea whether the particular column about the Pritzkers is accurate, but The Tablet is hardly some fringe peddler of conspiracy theories. It leans right politically, but generally enjoys a solid reputation for accuracy. And the column does not show any hostility to trans adults; it’s about trans surgery for kids, which is a different matter.
