Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

What’s sad about the whole state of affairs for the city, state and county, is the Liberal just shrugs it’s shoulder and say’s “Whoops, my bad”, and sails off into the sunset of an Illinois Public Pension. Sad.

But, just like the mayor, the elected officials, the joke of a state constitution and city/state budget process, this is what the majority of the residents of the city of Chicago, who even bother to vote, want.

Everything this dude does is performative for his own ego. This thing he placed in a public park in Chicago is contrary to what his words say about protecting “the people”…it illustrates that his words are acting.

The Obama’s never gave a damn about the average man or woman. THey are in it it for the $$$$ and to rub it in other people’s faces.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I behold none looking at that building, which looks pissed off and defiant. Others may enjoy it, so be it. What’s especially notable to me is the supreme arrogance and self absorption of a guy who pushed for donated public land when there were many other options, then builds a monument to himself in typical government fashion with enormous cost overruns, god knows how much money funneled to which connected people, and apparently little thought or planning for how it will self sustain.
