Big city mayors call for action: The latest on the US-Mexico border crisis – CNN

“The international crisis that we are experiencing right now is being subsidized by local economies,” Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson told “CNN This Morning” Friday. “That is not sustainable, and that’s why we need Congress to actually have appropriations to make sure that what refugees from Ukraine receive, we have to ask … why aren’t those same support services being provided for individuals who are coming from the continent of Africa and Central and South America?”

What amazes me about it, is that they didn’t know it was going on in our country, to our fellow Americans, until Abbott decided to bus them(brilliant) to the cities. That our fellow countryman at our boarder had been underseige, and that Americans, had been both unknowing and indifferent, shows the power of the Media, and the success of the American Left, in destroying our country’s cohesion. Sad.

“First we get the money” This is the great replacement theory, right in cities all across America. You can ask the blacks in Chicago about that. They’ve been waiting 30+ years for what is now being given to the immigrants. They are being replaced by illegals.

Yes, and that’s the irony of the great replacement. The migrants are replacing the blacks.

It is sad. The only solution to this moron is…”give me more money.”

Perhaps consider a step by step approach dummy. Step 1 – close the friggin boarder and protect the United States Citizens. Step 2 – figure out various approaches to allow for lawful immigration. Step 3 – determine what is fair to the US Citizens FIRST, then how others can be allowed and metered into the US at a rate that is workable and addresses specific requirements for admission. Step 4 – hire a Home Land Security head that has a brain. Step 5 – implement.

Mayor Raggedy placing the race card like the one trick pony he is. Does he not realize that the US Congress needs to authorize spending, and right now Dementia Joe has to give the Republicans some of what they want to get his Ukraine and Israel aid package passed? Why should Republicans help out slomo Joe? Progressives like Brando and AOC rarely know how government really works, they just pose for the cameras and bleat about racism. The only people with less on the ball would be any member of the mainstream media.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
