Bill allows termination for refusing COVID-19 ‘measures’ – Center Square

A House amendment to Senate Bill 1169 says it’s not a violation of The Health Care Right of Conscience Act to require COVID-19 vaccines and allows someone to be terminated for such a reason. A hearing is expected Thursday morning at the statehouse.

There was no “hearing” going on. There were almost 50,000 opposition witness slips filed and yet the vote was party line as if this is a partisan issue. They spit on everyone with this vote. If you take away someone’s constitutional right – you don’t deserve to be a representative of citizens.

Cap Fax comments on this exact issue can be summarized as follows: There are 50,000 opposition votes out of 12 million residents in the state. You can move to a red state now. Don’t let the door hit your butt on the way out.

If you disagree with the Bill and have not filed a witness slip – you have until this afternoon. As of now – 38,660 oppose – 523 propone – and 376 no position. Lets keep the momentum going.

Cap Fax and crew says this opposition means nothing. It’s nothing more than a Devore’s facebook organized grift they say.

Go ahead – push the remaining (taxpaying) people out of the state. Illinois is nuts.

They want you gone. Open up your eyes. Only those who 100% agree with the regime are welcome here.

I wonder if you worked in a profession that delivered packages and letters to everyone in the country every day coming in contact with many people, if they can be fired too? Or would they be exempt?

Does this set a precedent that negates State Constitution protections of public worker pension and benefits entitlements?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
