Bill on Pritzker’s desk enhances Illinois’ migrant sanctuary policies – Center Square

Among the amendments to HB 1312 (which started as a POW/MIA Recognition Day bill), the measure establishes fines for hospitals for not adopting policies regarding interactions with law enforcement agents and prohibits universities from disclosing “actual or perceived citizenship or immigration status” of an employee, a student or associated individual.

Leave it to IL Marxocrats to turn a bill concerning POW/ MIA’s into another opportunity to protect their precious illegals. It’s no wonder that those, ambivalent about the whole thing until Biden made it his business to get 10- 20 million of them to come here at taxpayers expense , as I once was now want every last non- naturalized person in the US GONE.

The elected leaders are spending time creating rules to make sure companies don’t comply with federal authority. Why would any firm put that in writing? Who is going to jail for that handbook?

JB the Hutt and the rest of the leftist kleptocrats have lost their minds years ago. This legislation would not be supported in any other country in the world but has straight-faced adherents in Illinois.

Illinois is utterly lost due to Democrat gerrymandering and the rise of suburban AWFLs and the utter worthlessness of the Chicago media.

How can this be constitutional? That question aside, another is what is the meaning of citizenship if anyone can come here for whatever reason and obtain benefits not given to those here legally?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
