Black Lives Matter and the World’s Oldest Hatred – Wall Street Journal

image While the body count was still being tallied, BLM groups in Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington issued statements supporting Hamas’s tactics. BLM Chicago tweeted an image of a Hamas paraglider with a Palestinian flag attached to his parachute and the caption “I stand with Palestine.” What’s shocking isn’t the rhetoric of BLM leaders in the aftermath of Oct. 7 but that so many people who ought to have known better got played.

Obama, aka The Great Divider, got the ball rolling on Democrats full embrace of Leftist Extremism. Hamas, Taliban, BLM – all aligned with Democrats.

The worst offenders are the professional sports leagues– NBA and NFL being the worst. In fact, you can still see some of the BLM inspired crap in the end zones and on a few sidelines of NFL games. ( I turn the game off the second I see it). And how about the NBA sucking up to BLM the way they did. MLB got out of it a little earlier, but even they were duped. It was a shameful stampede to Wokeism that is now coming back to bite them all

Of note, the NBA has fewer fans and eyesballs watching games than it did during the Jordan era.

Jordan/Pippen/Rodman-Those were the days when watching BB was exciting. Now it’s mostly 3 point shots maybe someday 4 point shot from half court then 5 point from full court and 10 point from the locker room. LOL

The good teams still pack the house. The intermediate or bad teams (Bulls), not so much. Lots of freebie tickets are given away by teams to charities, church groups and such.

Bulls have the highest average attendance in the entire NBA, being located in the middle of an expensive DINK and yuppie neighborhood who are only a short walk or uber away from a 7pm game. The problem with the NBA is TV viewership. Massive slides over the past several years after a decade of slow decline. The commish just last week blames cable tv: Younger fans not subscribing to cable and therefore not catching games on ESPN or TNT or on the local speciality sports networks. They’re trying to make deals with streaming networks. That’s a lot of the reason… Read more »

It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
