Brandon Johnson is a Moron – National Review

"The part, apparently, that Brandon Johnson is fated to play if Trump sends the National Guard to Chicago is the woke foil, visibly and loudly representing all that is wrong about the left’s attitudes toward crime and policing."

Not a dime since he didn’t “illegally” receive any money from the CTU. CTU may have needed to adjust their filing or they may have violated some reporting but that doesn’t mean Johnson did anything illegal. There is so much to complain about BJ it doesn’t make sense to complain about something that isn’t true.

When are you going to REIMBURSE the CTU for the 2 MILLION DOLLARS of TEACHERS UNION DUES you ILLEGALLY received during your mayoral election run ???

National guards can legal assist ICE in supporting federal laws, the legal criminals just have to stay out of the way 😉

Trump is either supremely skilled in choosing his enemies, or extremely lucky. I can’t think of two better enemies to have than Gov. Jelly Belly and Mayor Conehead.

What BJ doesn’t say in in his pleading for more funding for social programs as crime-fighting tools in lieu of increased funding for police officers is that the funding for police officers goes into the police officer’s paychecks…….and BJ and his Democrat AKA Communist CTU scum can’t divert this money into their own evil grifting septic wallets. Period. That is the core issue to ALL of BJ and his CTU maggot puppet masters opposition. These CTU/Public Sector parasites are the most evil foul type of vermin on the planet. If you are a CTU member, you can save your soul but… Read more »

That magazine’s been around for seventy years and, of everything in their archives, you single out the single most racist column they saw fit to print as also being their best.

I appreciate the big-tent philosophy behind this site too but not sure advertising that “we welcome racists” is a good look. Just my $0.02.

The core argument from the article according to ChatGPT.

Buckley questions whether the white community in the South is “entitled to take such measures as are necessary to prevail, politically and culturally, in areas in which it does not predominate numerically.” He answers affirmatively, asserting that they are so entitled because they are, for the time being, the “advanced race.”

I didn’t know what the article said either but clearly Fred agrees with this type of thinking.

We already knew this. The thing about morons, though, is they’re seldom aware of their having attained this status.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
