Brandon Johnson pays off debts to city of Chicago after owing thousands of dollars in unpaid bills, fines – FOX32 (Chicago)

Chicago Ald. Anthony Beale responded to this report with the following statement: "Not paying your water bill and owing the city over $3,000 when you make over $175,000 per year as a paid lobbyist like Brandon Johnson is ridiculous and irresponsible. Johnson is earning a six figure salary as a union lobbyist and another taxpayer funded salary as a County Commissioner, he wants to raise taxes by $800 Million, but won’t even pay his own bills. Chicago needs a Mayor who can manage our city, not someone who can’t even manage his own money

Folks, there’s alot more to this. In Detroit there’s a big push to make free water a human right.

Never mind that there’s a cost to delivering fresh safe clean water to your home and disposing or treating it after use. Brandon is just playing to his base.

I coulda shoulda reneged on my student loans. Who’d a thunk a flunky senator from Delaware woulda bailed me out 30 years later.

Not uncommon, we’ve got two deadbeat Evanston City Council members who were facing eviction – young, single, able – bodied, but refuse to work… they’ve no shame! Devon Reid got rental assistance from a homeless services org that he advocates for, what a SLEAZE BAG: https://evanstonnow.com/homeless-fund-to-keep-alder-housed/ Homeless fund to keep alder housed by Bill Smith – December 15, 2022 “Ald. Or, i should have said—a Chicago run by master equity hustle con artists collecting multiple gov pay checks for $175,000, at least one maybe two gaurenteeted zero risk TEIR I $multi-million$ pensions for teaching for 4 years…but still can’t pay a $3000 water bill…all while claiming to be fighting for low income b&b folks…as Chicago descends into a sh@t-show. WHAT MORE COULD REPUBLICANS WANT NATIONALLY!!! CTU/BRANDON’S IS THIER WET DREAM!!!

Seems to be a pattern among BLACK DEMOCRATS not to pay their BILLS OR TAXES but never any blowback because of it

johnson was simply living his mantra of socialism: Steal from those who actually work. This is common behavior among the human parasites that are all CTU members.

Isn’t ctu/ Brandon, on top of his taxpayer funded $175,000 combine salaries from ctu & cc, also working on TWO taxpayer funded Tier I Pensions & OPEB deals when he’s not fighting for the working man? I guess stacy, sharkey, etc are all doing the same cheep equity hustle..but he still can’t pay his water bill??? Maybe tonnie has a $covid relief plan bucks $ to help out Brandon?

Typical. The only thing missing from his resume’ is jail time which would further add to his credibility among certain ethnic voters.

What a despicable fraud — can’t wait to soak Chicago for the same kinds of debts he refuses to pay

Exactly correct – and then pays them at the last possible moment while offering up silly excuses and explanations.

Credit scores are racist, right? Systemic racism and inequities prevent him, and all his neighbors, from paying their bills on time, even though he clearly has the money to pay.

He will be the next mayor of the Chitty of Chicago.
This fiscal irresponsibility is how the Chitty handles money.
Billions is debt to Ponzi Pension scheme. This guy is just perfect for the scheme to continue till it finally goes busts (and it will). The Pension time bomb will kill everything in the Chitty except funding for the Ponzi Scheme.

Exactly! If you can’t handle your personal finances responsibly, you have no right to try your hand at handling Chicago’s tax revenues.

If this is the best the CTU can come up with, they are sorely lacking in leadership and have a abysmally shallow talent pool.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
