Brandon Johnson Will Be The First West Side Mayor In 90 Years, Giving Locals Hope – Block Club Chicago

Pastors Maurice Gaiter and Cornelius Marks said their biggest hope in Johnson’s administration is that the community sees more investment and does not fall to the wayside. They want greater economic development, community safety and greater transparency and visibility. Said Gaiter,  “It’s exciting to see someone from your backyard elevated to that position. All I’m asking is for Chicago to give him a chance.”
