So a smart suburb will choose not to have grocery taxes and encourage giant grocery stores to move in and advertise this fact. That’s where I’ll get my groceries just like I don’t buy gas in Chicago of cook county. Maybe Bensenville?

Imagine the marketing ads. Do you spend $300 per week for your groceries? Come visit our town and buy your groceries here instead of where it’s convenient for you. Yes, you’ll be little inconvenienced but you’ll end up saving about $3 a week in grocery taxes. Could you imagine how many people would jump at the chance to drive further away from home or work just to benefit from this massive savings? Not to mention the benefit to that “smart” suburb.
