Chicago alderwoman assaulted during protest against migrant tent shelter in Brighton Park – FOX32 (Chicago)

Brighton Park residents rally against migrant tent shelter: 'Stabbed in the back'The city's current plan calls for the tents to be setup to be right across the street from a school. Protesters said they were given little to no notice about the plans, and feel they were not even considered when the plans were being made. Ald. Julia Ramirez of the 12th Ward said as she was leaving the protest, a group of protesters surrounded her and her staffer and began assaulting them.

I’ve been following up on this story for the past few minutes. I can’t find this “assault” on video anywhere. Hilariously, people are savaging the legacy media, Johnson, and alderwoman on YouTube. Some of my favorite comments: So Brandon is quick to condemn actions of violence against public officials, but when acts of violence are committed by teens against the public, they are “silly decisions” that the mayor will not outwardly condemn. No one attacked her they were telling her to leave they showed her the door lolWas this a mob Brandon? Why didn’t she call social workers instead of the cops? The… Read more »

Another website had the headline “Suburban Women attack Alderperson over Migrant Housing”. No suburbanite would be hanging around Brighton Park. Also, looks like the Ag school property in Mt. Greenwood is quietly being prepared for a migrant encampment. Maybe Chicagoans will finally appreciate the consequences of open city status.

The people absolutely did not vote for this. That myth is officially busted.

Yes they did vote for these policies. Now that they have what they want, they don’t like it.

This is the famous quote come to life:

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.” – H. L. Mencken

Or

“Be careful what you wish for, because you might actually get it.”

I thought all of our elections were stolen? Now you’re saying the voters chose this. Now I agree that the voters are getting what they want but I’m just curious why you won’t pick a lane.

LOL of course they vote for this in Chicago, it’s 80% Democrat! The Big Steal comes from these large Democrat vote sinks when included in statewide elections. DUh!

Just so everyone knows, I was one who downvoted “Pensions Paid First” for their inane remark, lol…

Every other person was holding a camera, but nobody has video of the assault and nobody is in custody. What a joke.

I can see at least one professional camera in the footage on Fox, and I’m assuming Fox had a professional camera crew there too.

This is so ridiculous. TWO PROFESSIONAL NEWS CREWS HAVE CAMERAS ON SCENE AND CAPTURED THE ENTIRE EVENT, BUT THEY STILL UNQUESTIONABLY STATE THE ASSAULT PRESS RELEASES AS FACT!!!

Legacy media wonders why nobody trusts them. LOL

I hope Biden and Catholic Charities keep flying the illegals in search of free sh*t in to our fair city. Those city / state leaders who are all talk (virtue signaling), but in reality swimming naked is starting to be revealed.

Reliably Democratic voters assault Democrat alderwoman for being a progressive-n-woke Democrat.

You can lie to some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but even in Illinois it’s getting harder to lie to everybody all of the time.

Our progressive politicians demand obedience and adoration from their minions. No one is allowed a contrary opinion. No one is allowed to contest, or protest. Bet Alderwoman Ramirez is both shocked and appalled that her constituents didn’t simply “kiss the ring” and cheer her arrival at scene.

JB used to take more abuse from the other kids on the playground than what happened to the alderwoman. Luckily for him they didn’t get his lunch money.

If you watch this CBS video, it looks like Ald Ramirez got slighly pushed or bumped into by protesters and signs waved directly in her face. That’s it? Nobody’s throwing punches. But that’s enough to have everyone from Chuy to JB issuing statements “condemning the violence”? Wow, I guess the taxpayer residents who have ZERO say on migrant tent camp, who looked like they are mostly Chinese or Latino in videos, are part of the anti-migrant maga problem?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
