A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Here’s a thought. Restaurants may require proof of vaccination status to dine there.
Will they require the same for voting? You can’t vote in person without a vaccine card but mail in ballots would be pushed more. I doubt that will happen. Or you don’t need vaccine status if you vote “D” but you do if you vote “R” In this state anything is possible.
Private enforcement of vaccines? Don’t they understand the racism behind that? It’s the black and brown populations that are mostly unvaccinated. So turning away large numbers of black and brown people, while serving white people, because BIPOC are mostly unvaccinated sounds an awful lot like a pretext for ‘we don’t served colored people here’. The number of unvaccinated Trump Boomers in Chicago is so insignificant that the reality is these business owners will be kicking minorities only out of their stores.
But you know, stupid virtue signalers never really think things through. And this is why Chicago sucks so bad.
