“For a state that doesn’t have a lot of pork production, California is really setting the guidance for the industry,” said Tasha Bunting, of the Illinois Farm Bureau. California’s clout comes from its 40 million residents who buy 14% of the pork products produced in the United States.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
