Construction work & the trades are rough on the workers, so they attract ‘rough’ workers, & this is why they are male dominated… You need to ‘pull your weight’ on the job site, or suffer the consequences… Construction workers (male) hooting, hollering & whistling at pretty women walking by is common… Now put those women on the job site working with them, it would be a recipe for disaster & an HR nightmare… I’m all for women given the opportunity to learn a trade & become gainfully employed, as long as they are aware of what they are getting into…… Read more »

Our navy will have the same problems when ships are damaged in combat. The WW2 navy proved quite capable in damage control that saved many a vessel. Average female lacks the physical strength for such emergencies.

I have a friend who is a retired MIll Worker in Florida. Back in the 1980’s he asked me if I knew of anyone that wanted to go into the trades and the Mill Workers’ Apprenticeship Program in South Florida. He was asking because they could not fill their classes. Fast forward to 2025 and he says they still can’t fill their classes and that they have had to let apprentices go because they show up a couple of hours late to class and have missed critical information, often safety related.

If it’s a UNION APPRENTICESHIP EVERYONE receives the same rate of pay. The unions are bending over backwards to get women and people of color into apprenticeships. Whoever wrote this article is biased and didn’t do their research . Typical of reporters ? today.

Despite what the pan sexual, alphabet crowd is trying to sell you, the fact remains that there are distinct differences between men and women emotionally and physically. Sure there are exceptions, but treating every single applicant as if they have the goods is a disservice to others that do and sometimes dangerous. I can still remember the footage of a thug walking away, laughing, from four female police officers. And the fact that women airline pilots have panicked under adverse conditions and a catastrophe was narrowly avoided more than once has also recently come to light.
