In 2023, Kirk said at a TPUSA Faith event: “We must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty…I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.”

Ahhh….The communist left’s attempt to claim Kirk was essentially responsible for his own death. He died protecting your freedoms yet you spit upon him. Disgusting and unworthy of America. Typical communist. Why don’t you leave for the workers paradise of Cuba or North Korea?

i am personally neither a communist nor an leftist. he may not have been directly responsible for his own death but without a doubt he very strongly advocated for the circumstances which led to it.

Will those who claim to be moderates turn away from the left? That will be the true display of who they are and what they support. We have all seen the left excuse the slaughter of innocents on Oct 7 as “resistance”, embrace the cold-blooded murder of an insurance company executive as a protest against the health insurance industry, and now outright celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Not to mention the fervent hope for the death of Donald Trump. I understand that not all Democrats support this. It’s time for them to prove it and walk away. If they… Read more »

several months ago 2 Minnesota legislators were murdered at their home in a politically motivated attack by a far right man and 2 other legislators were also shot by the same individual but survived. the day of the Kirk killing there was yet another school shooting in Colorado which got very little media attention. perhaps the issue is not really about killing but instead is about who is being killed?

Apparently for you it is.

“Far right man”. Garbage. He had worked for the Tim Waltz campaign and claimed to be killing on Waltz’s behalf. You need to expand your news beyond the echo chamber. More accurately he was a nutjob. More important, no conservatives cheered these killings, nor smeared the victims, nor supported the murderer. Wake up: Communists = Assassination culture. Have you seen this poll “SURVEY: 55% Of Self-Identified Leftists Say Killing Trump Is Justifiable”. These people are your comrades. link is: https://thefederalist.com/2025/04/07/survey-55-of-self-identified-leftists-say-killing-trump-is-justifiable/

Completely taken out of context. Did you not understand the context or are you just parroting the talking point. “The Second Amendment is not about hunting. I love hunting. The Second Amendment is not even about personal defense. That is important. The Second Amendment is there, God forbid, so that you can defend yourself against a tyrannical government. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty. So we need to be very clear that you’re not going to get gun deaths to zero. It will not happen. You will never live in a society… Read more »

the fact is that countries with very strict gun laws have very few if any mass shootings.

your auto/gun analogy is fallacious because the function of a car is transportation while the only function of a gun is to kill.

the irony is that Kirk ended up being one of the victims whom he considered as necessary losses. it’s all good and fine to speak of violence in such an offhand way until you or someone you love is a victim of it.

Guns are also used for self defense from bad guys and hunting.

You seem to have cognitive dissonance.

Thanks for proving my point. “your auto/gun analogy is fallacious…” You didn’t even recognize the quote was from Charlie and not from me. You just parrot part of the quote and didn’t even bother to understand the context. He was discussing how we as a society accept certain negative outcomes because we have determined that the overall worth of something is greater than the tragedy that comes with it. You may think guns are worth the costs but others do. The only function for a gun is not to kill people. That’s why you don’t see any value in them.… Read more »

I can’t take credit for this..read it somewhere else, but it fits:
”Charlie Kirk wasn’t killed because he was talking to young people. He was killed because they were listening.”

I can’t take credit for this statement.. read it on another post somewhere, but it is worth repeating:
”Charlie Kirk wasn’t killed because he was talking to young people. He was killed because they were listening.”

A career criminal, george floyd, dies while resisting an arrest and whose body was filled with illegal drugs. Riots, looting, burning tens of millions of dollars in damage, cities destroyed. A conservative commentator who freely debated with those who disagreed with him and was polite, thanked them for their comments, wished them a good day and said “God bless you”, no riots, no destruction. The difference? Take your one guess.

At least with Trump’s in-process-of-being-cleaned up FBI and Justice Department there will be a real investigation and likely conviction and hopefully an execution of this assassin. Under Harris, there would have been a clown show for the cameras investigation with no results. Plus the Democrat AKA Communists FBI would get around to it right after they concluded the Hunter Biden White house cocaine investigation.

I guess we’ve been shown that to criticize the Dem agenda is to do so at one’s own risk. Kirk was a religious person and that, not partisan politics, is what formed his position. I’ve never heard him name call, call for violence or do anything we’ve heard from other politicians, our own governor in particular.

We still don’t know who the shooter is and what motivated them.

As far as not feeling safe criticizing agendas, I am sure after Jan 6th 2021 that the feeling is mutual.

Both sides need to back down on the rhetoric.

This is about Charlie Kirk. A man who quoted the bible and the constitution. There is no justification, regardless of rhetoric, this is about being a decent human.

Sorry, but if you care to visit the Second City Cop site today, you will see quite the list of Dems and celebrities threatening Trump with bodily harm in one fashion or another. I would be interested to see such a list threatening Biden, Harris or any other Dem politician from across the aisle with harm.

The Wall Street Journal and others are reporting that the ammunition left in the bolt action rifle had Antifa and trans markings. You might want to rethink your posture here. And in any event, Kirk was killed for his speech.

George Floyd drug overdose rioting, ANTIFA, the Congressional Baseball Game assassination attempt, three Trump assassination attempts, the Nashville tranny shooting, the Minneapolis tranny shooting and countless others all have one common denominator: Democrats AKA Communists. The ‘party of tolerance’ is deeply intolerant and clearly seeks out violence when they lose after cheating at the ballot box. BTW Jan 6 was a protest; nothing more. If you cant see this then you have been brainwashed by a propaganda Democrat Communist media. Or are you simply just another Democrat/Communist parroting propaganda shill?

Waggs

And the only person killed on that day was a female protestor (Ashley Babbitt) who was shot in the face by a cop who has still never been identified. If a cop had shot a protestor during Chicago’s “summer of love” riots, a 100 percent the left would have his name and face displayed everywhere, and set up more riots in protest.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
