Chicago aldermen say teens on social media already promising a ‘part two’ this weekend after downtown chaos – FOX32 (Chicago)

Ald. Brian Hopkins notes that tens of thousands of jobs are at stake in hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues, many of whose patrons are already reluctant to come downtown. He wants police and State's Attorney Kim Foxx to use every tool they have. "And those tools have to include a willingness to arrest and prosecute dangerous violent offenders when they engage in mob activity that causes harm to other people," said Hopkins.

The state will provide them with all the pot sales they will need. The liquor stores will sell them the booze. They have to bring their own girls. Let the party begin. This is the only tax revenue left for the state. No Business to work for, Illinois is chasing them away every day.

As if Kim Foxx will use “every tool in the box” to enforce the law. The only tool is Kim Foxx. Not a chance that she or her office will prosecute any of the vibrant youths enjoying a downtown moment. The democrats in Chicago are getting what they voted for, enjoy!

The idea of a ‘white’ caucus, despite whites barely having a plurality, is as toxic as toxicity can be, after the council wars of the 80’s. And here we are, were the alderman representing some of the financially and economically important areas of the city has been sidelined due to the strength of the black and hispanic and socialist caucuses.

Forecast is mid 40’s and rain for Friday and Saturday night so not this weekend but…..soon. Once it is warmer there will be a repeat until every weekend all summer and then every weeknight and then beyond downtown.

And of course once it happens a few times more and more people get beaten or shot, the call will go out louder ” Ban assault weapons!”

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
