Chicago Alderpeople React to Claims City Will Be Ground Zero for Mass Deportations – WTTW (Chicago)

“Ultimately, the vast majority of undocumented immigrants are not criminals,” Ald. Carlos Ramirez Rosa said. “They come here to work. They come here to build a family. They’re property owners, they’re small business owners. … The impact would be devastating in our communities.”

The impact of deporting illegal immigrants would be devastating to your communities? How the heck many illegal immigrants do you have in your communities?

Wilmette Talking To Winnetka typist for the DNC Emily Soto fails to note the essential fallacy of the proponents of illegal immigration” illegal immigrants have violated immigration law, making each and every one of them a criminal by definition. By Alderman Carlos Rosa’s standards, Luigi Mangione isn’t a criminal either, since (in Mangione’s broken mind) his intentions were somehow noble.Grifter Joe and soon-to-be-ex-Border Czar Harris created this mess with open borders, telling Chumbolones that enforcing US borders “…is not who we are.” Now all those who took the Biden-Harris administration’s suggestion to surge to the border and overwhelm it are… Read more »

Yep, time to trot out the pregnant women, crying children and abuletas in wheelchairs, while ignoring the many, predominantly Venezuelan, criminals that have wreaked havoc upon IL since they got off of the bus.

The city often portrays undocumented immigrants as model citizens who have built businesses and contribute by paying taxes. While this may be true for some, it raises an important question: If they are capable of achieving so much, why didn’t they go through the legal immigration process? Denmark did a study on immigrants and they were a net drain on society because they reality is that they externalize much of their costs onto greater society. We have to pay to educate and feed their children; they carry no vehicle insurance; they get free medicaid; they get free legal help; they get free migrant assistantance; they use fake or fraudulent social security numbers; they take 10 exemptions on their pay checks so no federal or state taxes are withheld…liberals ignore all of this because they live in a world of fantasy and make-believe.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
