Chicago and Cook County restaurants prepare for vaccine mandate – WGNTV (Chicago)

“It affects us in a big way. We’re mostly shorthanded,” one restaurant owner said. “There might be some issues with the customers that aren’t vaccinated.”

I can live with the vaccine mandates for now. I’m extremely unhappy with them but during these cold winter months, nobody is doing much of anything. It’s a good chance to stay in, save a ton of money, and prepare for the economic storm brewing … But the million dollar question is: how long will these mandates will last. Will they ever go away? Will restaurants a year, two years from now still be checking vaccination cards? There’s a lot of businesses especially in low vaccinated areas that will be feeling the pain.
