Chicago area police warned about gang alliance to shoot them – Quicktake

The Strategic Operations Center of the Cook County Sheriff’s has distributed a warning to Chicago area police of a possible alliance among area gangs to shoot officers making arrests.

The notice was published by Second City Cop and is linked here.

The alliance among area gangs is called “People Nation.” The warning says the office has received intelligence that People Nation agreed to tell its members to shoot at law enforcement if a subject is being arrested. It also warns that gang members have high caliber, high capacity firearms.

Just another excuse not to do their job.

Cops just drive by the drug dealers and gangs. They do not get out of their cars. I hope none get shot. Stay safe for 20 years and live in Luxury homes in Florida at age 42 on the taxpayers. Life is good.

The cops have learned to deal with the reality of the job as compared to what might well have been their youthful assumptions at the outset. The reality is that they can only do what (1) the laws, (2) their training, (3) their bosses, (4) their union contracts, (5) their mayors, and (6) the accumulated courted decisions allow them to do. If you think its not that way then you’ve been watching way, way too many old “Dirty Harry” movies. First and foremost they want to survive a career in both the physical sense and financially as well, both of… Read more »

If this is a serious threat — and I have no special knowledge whether it is or isn’t — one wonders why the gangs, who have had alliances and guns for decades, didn’t do it previously.

Now they won’t prosecute them like before. You have communist mayors and state’s attorneys and state attorney general who have been encouraging this.

Or maybe the gang units were pulled to other duties… No politician should want gangs to run rampant. Unfortunately the mare in charge probably took resources away to protect the rich parts of town.

You are correct that no politician should want gangs to run rampant. This is the problem with electing a Communist mayor.

Because turf, drugs, and general gang business is usually more important. Given enough time, this “alliance” will fracture because as the saying goes, “there is no honor amongst thieves.”

I disagree with Creating no go zones. They do this in Europe and it is disastrous. There are good people living in these areas who would be written off. Arrest and long term incarceration!

Until the community gives up their gang banger members relatives or neighbors, no members of the CPD should be sent out for assistance.

Maybe they should leave or fix their communities. They are no longer the white man’s burden.

You have to have confidence in the system in order to believe that. There is the flaw, if you don’t believe the system works you have to rely on your own community but how do you fight against the better armed?

All started and encouraged by the domestic terrorist Marxist organization blm who is encouraged and empowered by senile joe and the blm approved vp Harris. And Lori is afraid to crack down for fear of loosing her south and west side constituency.

Nah. Leave the city. Put up a fence around it. They voted for this. Let them have what they want. Protecting minorities from themselves is not the white man’s burden any longer.

Yeah, gang bangers follow politics very closely.

That is sarcasm, because no they don’t.

It is time to create BLM buffer zones inside of which absolutely no first responders are permitted to go.

If they try to loot, pillage and burn outside their designated zones–it should be open season on them–FOID Card or not…

Isn’t it time yet for Wirepoint’s to begin each article with, “Leave Chicago Now. Leave Illinois Now.”

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
