The video mentions funding from Nat’l Endowment for the “Arts,” and implies there was other gov’t funding also. We do not know what the organizers told NEA they were going to do, nor whether it was actually done. Presumably the funds were approved and committed last year.
It’s unfortunate that FOX couldn’t pursue such information, or that they had nothing more important to report on.

Lots of these organizations operate and are funded within higher education ecosystems. Just look at the organization I linked to below and take note of all the university affiliations. A large percentage of the money comes from state and federal funding / grants. Your tax dollars are literally financing insurgency! It’s disgusting. How are we going to cut off financing? That’s nothing compared to the Society for the Study of Social Problems insurgency all stars meetup taking over the Palmer House Hilton on Aug 8-10.

They will be discussing papers like:

“A Garment Made in Collaboration with Indigenous Women of the Ecuadorian Amazon Contextualized through Principles of Ecofeminism, Cultural Revitalization, and the Potentials of Activism through Art.”

“An Examination of the Role of Social Essentialist Explanations on Motivating Transgender Double Consciousness.”

The program schedule is 44 pages full of stuff like this and titled “Insurgent Sociology in a Time of Crisis.”

Interesting, so who in Chicago is permitting tax payers money for this project who is sending it to them. Dare I say I’m surprised Pritzker wasn’t a guest speaker in light of his recent comments calling for acts of violence against Trump voters and Republicans across the country and his anti-Trump comments

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
