Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. I try to talk to all migrants, and I’ve heard from a few that DCFS has taken their kids away. Traditionally, DCFS has been vigilant about kids living in cars or on the street. “ The standard is not shelter.. blah, blah,blah”. Tell that to the people that have been sheltered, fed, etc. since 1964. What did the brain trust of Johnson, Pritzger, Joe etc think was going to happen when they invited millions of unskilled, non English speaking people ( some with, er, “sketchy “ backgrounds) here with the promise of free everything? That’s right, they don’t think, they do and wait for the outcome.
Yep, the sad thing is they believe what they say and who are they kidding?! These folks walk out the front door and go back to the starting position. They are then readmitted into the shelters. On and on…the entire thing is without a doubt, the single most destructive event in US history.
