Chicago biz leaders urge Harris to pick Pritzker as veep – Crain’s*

Forty-two Chicago business leaders released a letter this morning urging presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris to select Gov. J.B. Pritzker as her running mate. The letter, first reported by Mary Ann Ahern of NBC-5, is co-signed by a cross-section of Chicago's business elite, including GCM Grosvenor CEO Michael Sacks, Allstate CEO Tom Wilson, Chicago Bears CEO Kevin Warren, Loop Capital CEO Jim Reynolds, Sterling Bay executive and Crown family scion Keating Crown, Jennifer Scanlan, CEO of UL Solutions, and John Rogers Jr., chairman of Ariel Investments.

Surprise! Kamalalala’s handlers chose the Communist governor of Minnesota. JB the Hutt will have to slink back to one of his mansions for a few cheeseburgers and to plot his next financial atrocity for Illinois.

While Tim Walz encouraged the leftist riots in Minneapolis, Kamalalala was raising funds to make sure the scumbag rioters and looters would not sully a prison cell.

Here’s an article from the New York Slime on possible VP picks. JB is mentioned in the first paragraph.

my only concern is,if jb gets picked for vp,he and kamala get elected,i dont think the airforce 1 plane has enough power to get off the ground with jb seated inside

JATO assits should do it!

Hello, Indiana!

JB will then be out of IL’s hair and get a corner office to do coloring books all day just like Harris did if he’s VP. No wonder business leaders want to get rid of him.

Supposedly it’s leftist extremist Shapiro.

That’s just because they want the anti business Pritzker gone. Nice to see Mary Ann Ahern break this hard hitting news story. Hey Mary Ann, either ask Pritzker a real question some day or retire. You know, something about his obsession with abortion and whether he believes in late term, or even live birth abortions. You can do it!

That was my thought: kick him upstairs where he would do the least damage. That, or give Harris the worst VP so she loses.

That, or they want Harris to lose.

I have a hard time seeing where JB would bring ANY advantage to the Harris presidential ticket that Josh Shapiro or any other reported candidate would not. Except, possibly, lots of money to spread around. Still say that JB will only be picked if every other candidate turns it down.

Mary Ann Ahern is a great reporter, only one in Illinois that has the ability and experience too take on the political climate

If any of the people that pretend to report honestly about our miserable politicians and corrupt government we wouldn’t be in the shape we are in.
Ahern has been in the business of hiding the truth longer than most.

“they want the anti business Pritzker gone”

But if JB did get elected VP and resign as governor, his successor would be Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton, who AFAICT is an equally liberal Dem and therefore wouldn’t be any less “anti-business”.

I don’t disagree that Stratton is any less anti-business, but she has nowhere near the political presence as JB. His huge wallet buys him a lot of political capital.

How about his thoughts on Synthetic Sex Identities SSI. The media is just the marketing arm of the Democratic party.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
