It’s ridiculous when employers, like the Blackhawks, make or consider making their employees wear gay pride clothes.

Employees shouldn’t be forced or pressured to wear clothing celebrating any type of sexual preference as it’s a personal matter that is irrelevant to work.

It’s also ridiculous when employees, or people in general, who don’t want to wear gay pride clothes are accused of “hatefulness” simply for not wanting to wear gay pride clothes.

The solution is simple! If this decision upsets you, don’t go to Blackhawks games and don’t support the team. Somehow I think that the team will survive!

The same applies to the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB. Don’t support and don’t buy merchandise. Waste of money

Nobody really cares any longer what gay people do in their own private lives. Let people live like they want to live– with whomever they want to live with. It’s OK. Just stop sticking into every aspect of everyone’s faces all this rainbow bullshit. The LGBTQ /whatever community is frittering away a lot of progress they have made by overreaching into too may areas that are irrelevant to their lifestyles. Hockey– for goodness sakes. Just back off would ya’ please!

As an old gay guy who lived through “the bad old days” of prejudice and repression, I want to say to the current crop of gay activists: “SIT down… SHUT up… and ENJOY all the wonderful gains that us older folks worked so hard to ensure… and STOP with the FREAK show stuff…”

Same could be said for ‘systemic racism’ or ‘racism’ in general.

The current activists in collaboration with the media have set back race in this country.

For shame! MLK must be rolling in his grave.

The 1980s, 90s, and early 2000s were a golden age in regards to race relations. It was after the civil rights era and Jim Crow segregation and before the current wokism that began to build up during the Obama administration. I grew up during this time period and generally speaking the only racist white people that I knew during this time were a small percentage of older people who are for the most part dead now. During this same time period, it wasn’t as acceptable as today for gays to live openly out of the closet, but nonetheless people typically… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
