Chicago Board of Education Holds Firm on Masking in CPS Classrooms For Now – NBC5 (Chicago)

One Board member said, "Masks are not oppressing anyone. Oppression and systemic inequality is what has actually caused the disproportionate impact of COVID along lines of race and class."

Again, these are not leaders. They are followers. Don’t expect them to risk their social status over masking.

So glad I never abased myself by sending my kids into this system. Grift and corruption surrounded by gross incompetence is about the best thing that could be said of CPS.

Sadly, the consequences of the choices of the voters is coming home to roost.

Ironically, CPS is 90%+ BIPOC and minority students are really the only students in the state still wearing masks. White students breathe mask free, BIPOC must wear masks. Because masks aren’t oppression.

The systemic oppression IS YOU. YOU are the systemic oppression holding BIPOC children back and YOU are too dang stupid yourself to even realize it.
