The Chicago Teachers Union, the Illinois Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers spent $2.0 to $2.5 million of teacher union dues to get their own lobbyist Brandon Johnson elected. He has no background or experience in running the third largest city in the US yet the taxpayers of Chicago elected him. By his own admission he is overwhelmed just being a Husband to a Black woman and 3 Black children. There is little hope. NOW THE UNION OWN THE CITY AND THE RESIDENTS OWN THE PROBLEM. The Democrats liberal policies and financial ineptness  are destroying the City… Read more »

In true Dem fashion, the previously systemically racist police now come in handy to keep the rabid far left at bay. After Brandon, with his around the clock 100+ security guard, is done using law enforcement he will be back to calling for their defunding and passing more laws intended to prevent them from arresting criminals.

It’s not the DNC areas that need to worry. All the police will be there. There will be no police in any other parts of the city. If you are not in the DNC bubble, God help you because you will be on your own. I’m curious. Do people really believe that the Democrats care what happens to you?

Antifa is probably helping BLM plot an Isis-style attack like they had in Bombay.

Yep agreed. The rest of the City will be a free-for-all. Literally. Can’t even imagine what that will be like, best to stay in-doors watch MASH reruns and keep your head down while this joke of an event takes place. The BS and bald-face shameless lies coming out of that building will be just too much to take.

Since progressives will only learn the hard way, a good lesson would be that many DNC attendees get to firsthand experience multiple instances of defund the police Chicago and Kim Foxx/BJ’s public safety results. BJ’s Yutes need to go wilding and funnin throughout downtown August 18 to 23, especially near hotels where DNC conventioneers are staying.

Just a thought. People will get arrested during the DNC but will get let go “after” the convention to make the pols look good. They will get good PR for a few days but that’s it. The tent cities will be back a few days later then murder and mayhem like usual.

Fair Warning to Chicago Visitors:

The Thugs in Chicago are like vampires feeding off the innocent – the pickings are plentiful and easy. The Mayor, County, and Governor wish to coddle the vampires, saying it’s ‘equity’. Defund the Police, don’t prosecute thugs, and empty the prisons – That’s what the leftist Democrats have done in Chicago and IL.

I’m going to say what I’ve caught hell in the past for saying, but now I’m seeing it show up on different platforms, by black content makers. The Chicago Black bourgeoisie, overwhelmingly attached to the tete of government, LOATHES the black underclass.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
