Will the national press be hard on any progressive Democrat willing to spend tens of millions on advertising during the primaries? I’m not so sure. His own party may be tougher on him than the press. He has to convince party leaders, during back room deals, that he, as a white jewish billionaire is the guy to lead a diverse, nationwide intersectional coalition to a 2024 presidential win. And that’s a hard sell in this environment because the Revolution has already started to eat its own.

In Illinois the fat man had a far left extremist legislature that rubber stamped every insane far left idea that came along, he wouldn’t have that during the presidency. The fat man would, for the first time in his life, have to negotiate. Not an easy path for some who doesn’t believe in bipartisanship

Chicago is safe if you do not count the Murders, Robberies, Car Jackings, Drug dealers, and smash and grab thefts. No wonder the mayor has cops stationed outside her house 24 hours a day.

Sure has and going much higher. Criminal know the cops do not enforce the law. Let the fun begin. All cops do is paperwork after the fact. The Chitty has cancer and is dying a miserable death. High Taxes, High Crime and poor services. But at least the cops still get a HUGE PENSION to buy a luxury home in Punta Gorda, Fl.

I didn’t listen to my parish priest now I wear thick, very thick glasses and my palms are so hairy I have to shave them twice a day. In Punta Gorda, Florida it was very difficult as my glasses were always steamed up and my hairy palms were very uncomfortable and so sweaty.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
