In Illinois, the state’s administrative code requires fire departments to measure EMS response times against a standard of six minutes, one minute longer than the National Fire Protection Association’s widely followed five-minute standard. Analysis of last year’s medical emergency incidents found that in over one in five cases, Chicago EMS took more than six minutes to respond.

Ducks occupation killed Duck. Don’t blame it on an overwhelmed system that has to take those that use the ER as their personal physician to the hospital for a hangnail. It’s worth noting that CFD has been working without a contract for a long time, something the “ heroes “ of the CTU wouldn’t do for a day.
